Terms of Service

Summary: Use Classly to manage your tuition business. Don't misuse it. Free plan has limits. Pro plan is billed via Google Play / App Store. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Classly app ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of Classly, including tutors who create accounts ("Instructors") and students who access the payment upload portal.
2. Description of service
Classly is a mobile application that helps tutors manage students, track fees, send WhatsApp payment reminders, and verify payments via OCR. The Service also includes a web portal for students to upload payment screenshots.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Classly instructor account. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
4. Account registration
You register using your mobile phone number via OTP. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use at support@classlyapp.com
One account per person. You may not share accounts.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Classly only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent activity
- Harass, abuse, or send spam to students via the WhatsApp reminder feature
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
- Upload malicious content via the payment screenshot portal
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages
6. Student data responsibility
You are solely responsible for the student data (names, phone numbers) you enter into Classly. By entering student data, you confirm that:
- You have obtained appropriate consent from students or their guardians to store this data in a third-party application
- The data is accurate and up to date
- You will delete student data when no longer needed
Classly acts as a data processor for student information. You are the data controller.
7. Subscription and billing
7.1 Free plan
The Free plan allows up to 20 active students and 5 classes. No payment is required.
7.2 Pro plan
Classly Pro is available as a monthly (₹149/month) or annual (₹999/year) subscription, purchased via Google Play In-App Purchases (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS).
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. To cancel, manage your subscription in Google Play or the App Store settings.
7.3 Refunds
Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store in accordance with their respective policies. We do not process refunds directly.
7.4 Free trial
A 7-day free trial of Classly Pro may be offered to new users. At the end of the trial, your subscription begins and you will be charged unless you cancel before the trial period ends.
8. OCR and payment verification
The OCR feature uses Google Cloud Vision to automatically extract payment amounts from screenshots. This is provided as a convenience and is not a guarantee of payment verification accuracy.
- Auto-verification is triggered only when OCR confidence exceeds 80% and the amount matches within 2%
- Classly is not responsible for incorrect auto-verification due to image quality, unusual receipt formats, or OCR errors
- Always review your payment records periodically to ensure accuracy
9. WhatsApp integration
Classly helps you compose and initiate WhatsApp messages. The messages are sent via the WhatsApp application on your device. Classly is not affiliated with or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta. You are responsible for complying with WhatsApp's Terms of Service when using this feature.
10. Intellectual property
The Classly app, logo, and all associated content are owned by Classly and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
You retain ownership of all data you enter into Classly (student names, fee records, etc.).
11. Service availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the Service at any time. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Classly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@classlyapp.com.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
15. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
16. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notification. Continued use of Classly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
