How do I create my first class?
After signing in, tap the Classes tab โ tap the + button. Enter your class name, fee amount, billing cycle (monthly, weekly, per class, or one-time), and schedule. Tap Save โ your class is ready.
How do I add a student and enrol them in a class?
Go to the Students tab โ tap + โ enter the student's name and phone number โ tap Save.
Then open the student's profile โ tap Enrol in class โ choose the class. A fee record will be generated automatically based on your class billing cycle.
What billing cycles are supported?
- Monthly โ fee generated on the 1st of each month
- Weekly โ fee generated every Monday
- Biweekly โ every two weeks
- Per class โ fee generated per session (use with attendance)
- One-time โ a single fee at enrolment
How do I mark a fee as paid?
Go to Payments tab โ find the fee โ tap the โ icon or tap the fee row โ choose Mark as Paid, Partial, or Waived. Enter the amount received and tap Save.
How does the WhatsApp payment reminder work?
Tap the WhatsApp icon (๐ฌ) next to any pending fee. Classly opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message that includes the student's name, fee amount, and a unique payment upload link. You just tap Send in WhatsApp.
The student receives the message and can tap the link to upload their payment screenshot from their phone browser.
What is the payment upload link and how does it work?
When you send a payment reminder, a unique link like classlyapp.com/c/... is included in the message. The student taps this link, which opens a simple web page in their phone browser.
They can take a photo of their UPI payment confirmation (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) or choose from their gallery. After uploading, Classly's OCR reads the payment amount automatically.
- If the amount matches and confidence is high โ fee is marked paid automatically
- If the amount is unclear or doesn't match โ it goes to your Review Queue for manual verification
A student paid but their fee wasn't marked automatically. What do I do?
Check the Payments โ Review Queue tab. Low-confidence OCR results appear here with the screenshot thumbnail. Tap the fee to view the screenshot and tap Verify to mark it paid, or Reject to ask the student to re-upload.
You can also always mark fees as paid manually by tapping the โ icon.

OCR verification, bulk reminders, and class announcements require Classly Pro.
How do I upgrade to Classly Pro?
Tap the Settings tab โ Upgrade to Pro, or tap any Pro feature โ you'll be taken to the upgrade screen. Billing is handled via Google Play (Android) or App Store (iOS).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Android: Open Google Play โ tap your profile icon โ Payments & subscriptions โ Subscriptions โ Classly โ Cancel.
iOS: Settings โ your Apple ID โ Subscriptions โ Classly โ Cancel.
Your Pro access continues until the end of the billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by Google Play or the App Store. Please contact them directly:
- Android: Google Play refund policy
- iOS: Apple refund request
How do I delete my account?
Email support@classlyapp.com with the subject "Delete my account". We'll delete all your data within 30 days.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which provides automatic backups and redundancy. Your data is synced to the cloud and accessible from any device you sign into with your phone number.
WhatsApp isn't opening when I tap the reminder button. What do I do?
Make sure WhatsApp is installed on your device. If WhatsApp is installed but still doesn't open:
- Android: Go to Settings โ Apps โ Classly โ Permissions and ensure all required permissions are granted.
- If WhatsApp still doesn't open, Classly will copy the message to your clipboard โ you can paste it manually in WhatsApp.
